You must go over 100 years of quality and tradition in producing chocolate. IIt begins when Solomon and Rosa Olgieser give their first breath to Bios and create this succesfull venture that investigates experiments and produces most of the formulas wich still remain in the curring processes

In 1936, when the shadows of the great war were felt, the family decided to move to South America, looking for better conditions to live, and to develop their company. Thus, to the south, they arrive at the port of Santa Elena in Guayas, where they take advantage of their stay to know Quito, a city they fell in love with immediately, even more, when it adds to the magnificent climate of the year, Human quality of workers, and the ease of providing the best raw material in the world – the Ecuadorian cocoa.

PART OF THE HISTORY OF ECUADORIAN CHOCOLATE SINCE 1912

Already established in San Diego, a traditional neighborhood in Quito, Guillermo Olgieser and his wife María Arcos, who give the decisive impulse to the company, which maintains its artisanal value, and pledge to maintain the quality and variety with which the Ecuadorians associate Its best moments: the movie tablet, the party candy, the cocoa for the cup and cakes, that precious chocolate of the intimate moments, or that exact variety that is required by those who are absent, remember the country.

The new generations, already 4, recognize and value the great acceptance and loyalty of their consumers and, for them, conserve and optimize the traditional formulas, with quality and excellence, while implementing new offers, cutting edge technologies and visions Of vanguard that maintain the prestige, with which Bios has been positioned in the taste of the Ecuadorians, like the emblematic flavor of the chocolate, that exact flavor that is recognized like own. BIOS produces three types of chocolates: for pastry, chocolate tablets and chocolates. Currently BIOS distributes and sells chocolates nationwide to the main supermarkets, pharmacies and delicatessen in Ecuador, as well as providing chocolate to the main pastry shops, bakeries and ice cream parlors in Ecuador.
